Not to mention the events that are held, which usually give you all sorts of rewards. It's like getting a paycheck every week for all of your hard work. And at the beginning of every week, you're given a ton of rubies for weekly events or content. You're given rubies every day for doing dailies, WB, and sometimes guild content. This is after the beginner compensation as well. I've already explained that the game gives you a lot of resources. I know I appreciated the beginner compensation, first impressions are everything, and this game without a doubt gave me a good one.Īlright, here's something I'm sort of 50/50 on. It'll be discouraging at times, but that's with any game. By the time I was out of the BL, I had learned what I needed to in order to more efficiently progress in other areas of the game. All of this to say, this game is very forgiving for early players. It's thanks to these boosts that when the buffs ended, I was able to still grow at a fairly consistent rate. And I don't know about everyone else, but when I joined there was a new player event going on, so I got even more than those who started playing recently or before me.
No one is going to become a legend in any mobile after such a short period of time (except some p2w players). Of course, even before the buffs end, progress is going to slow, and once it does, it'll only get slower. Most people would argue that with such a huge jump like that, it'll only burn out newer players faster once the compensation period ends, and they're probably right. Now, you're straight up skipping the early game and going right to early mid game. I know I thought this game was CRAZY generous already. This league is active for arena, world boss, and weekly league. The BL lasts as long as the compensation period, so after four weeks, you'll be bumped up to the normal league. So you're not going to be facing overpowered players (much) while you're there. The BL is pretty an entire league of pvp content that's tuned towards new players only. Not only are you given these boosts, but you're also put into the Beginner League. Don't spend all your resources early on, but I'll get more into that later.
I would spend my gold Willy nilly without much concern for running out. My exact thought at the time was, "Is this what it's like to be a p2w?" That's how much crap they gave me. I remember during my first few days playing, I felt I would never run out of this stuff. Sure, games tend to give newer players some extra rewards to help catch up with those who have been playing longer, but holy cow, this is on an entirely different level! You're given an entire month of reward bonuses that really help you grow faster, not to mention the sheer amount of resource you're given. WHAT THE HECK?! I've never seen anything like that before.
So, if it's alright, I'd like to give my insight and experiences on DB.īefore I get into the big stuff, I just have to say the beginner compensation period. This may even help some players that are unsure if they want to continue this game. Whether that's true or not is not really my business, but while I may be new, I would like to share my experience as a fresh player with a month and a half under my belt. Now, being a relatively new player to this game, I don't expect for everyone to fully agree with me on this (especially those who have been playing since launch), but looking around the Reddit, I've been seeing a lot of people say that this game is dying or is already dead. I know that I wasn't expecting what was coming, this game threw me for a loop. There are new players coming to DB every day, and many of them really aren't sure what's going on or what to expect. It's been about a month and a half since I started playing Dragon Blaze, and boy have I learned a lot in that short period of time.
